Potential Sources for Reclaimed Water
The map identifies all of the point source discharges into an Oklahoma stream or lake. A "point source" is defined as "any discernible confined and discrete conveyance including but not limited to a pipe, ditch, channel, or conduit from which pollutants are or may be discharged."
"Point source" discharges are required to have either a state NPDES or a Federal NPDES permit if located in states without an USEPA-approved NPDES permit program.
Facilities that discharge wastewater to receiving waters of the United States must apply for a
National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit for that discharge.
