- 5/4/99 DEQ local staff reports no chemical containers at the airport were damaged. DEQ
Waste Management Division advised pub. works dir. that tin from hangars could be buried on
site if not within ¼ mi. of water wells or in flood plain. Cover fill area within 45 days
& send report to DEQ. Trees/shrubs could be piled up & either chopped or burned in
a controlled burn later.

disposed and plan of action.
- 5/7/99 City and airport officials waiting on results of Governors meeting to
decide on a plan for clean-up.

- 5/5/99 Midwest City is considering including them in their contract with Waste
Management of Oklahoma, Inc. to take care of their storm debris. County assessors are out
doing house to house and business to business surveys, assessing damage. DEQ requested
that they make note of businesses that had hazardous chemicals stored, and advised they
could contact DEQ for assistance if necessary. DEQ reviewing lists of businesses in the
area that have haz. chemicals and is planning a field evaluation of these to determine any
assistance that may be needed.
- 5/7/99 DEQ requested that county tax assessors provide a list of all businesses affected
so that DEQ can assist with waste issues. DEQ also contacting businesses in the area that
may have hazardous chemicals. Indications are that few with hazardous chemicals were
affected. Attempting to contact those businesses, and site visits will be done for those
that sustained damage.

locations are south of the cemetery and on church property at S. 27th &
I-35. Does not anticipate doing any burning for at least 2 weeks.

roll-off container for household type waste. Not sure at this time how clean-up will be
handled. Waste being stacked for transport to staging area. Trees & limbs are being
separated from construction/demolition waste. Waiting on FEMA.

segregated into 4 piles, brush, construction/demolition debris, rock, metal. Also visited
2 possible burial sites, but none finalized as of yet.
