Public Rulemaking Hearings
In addition to
amendments made to meet the Agency’s re-right/de-wrong initiative, new
definitions are proposed in Section 2. The Department proposes to revoke Section
3 on performance testing, subsection 25(a) for new sulfuric acid plants, and
subsection 25(d) for nonferrous smelters. The
ambient air concentration limits for sulfur dioxide in Section 12 and
subparagraph 26(a)(2)(B) would be revoked and the ambient air concentration
limits for hydrogen sulfide in Section 14 and paragraph 26(b)(1) would be
relaxed. The emission level for the exemption from the requirement to install
sulfur recovery equipment would be relaxed.
