FY12 State Clean Diesel Grant Program
The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is soliciting applications to fund projects that reduce diesel emissions for public and private fleets throughout Oklahoma. The funds will be used for various projects to reduce diesel emissions and improve fuel efficiency. Potential projects may include, but not be limited to, idle reduction technologies, aerodynamic technologies and the retrofit or replacement of diesel vehicles and equipment throughout the state. Eligible vehicles may include school buses, municipal fleets (city buses, refuse vehicles, etc), commercial transportation vehicles (trucks, barges, etc) and off-road equipment (agricultural and construction machinery, boats, etc). The grant funds will be for the purchase and installation of EPA- or CARB- verified crankcase ventilation systems, diesel oxidation catalysts, vehicle replacements and other certified/verified clean diesel or fuel efficiency technologies.
