Oklahoma Clean Diesel School Bus Program for Large Schools in Potential Non-Attainment Areas

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality has been awarded $1,854,672 from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009: National Clean Diesel Assistance Program. ODEQ plans to provide sub grant funding to large school districts in the potential non-attainment areas of Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Funding will be used for school bus replacements and retrofits. School districts will be reimbursed up to 25% of the cost for school bus replacements and 100% of the cost for school bus retrofits. School districts meeting selection criteria will be awarded funds on a first come, first served basis on an accelerated application/award schedule in order to maximize impact to the nation's economy. Applications will be accepted until all funds are awarded, but all monies must be spent by June 2010. The Grant Announcement, Appendix A and Application are now posted. Eligible Districts
Districts that serve any portion of the following counties and have at least one large school (such as 5A or 6A) are eligible to apply for a grant under this program:
Canadian, Cleveland, Creek, Grady, Lincoln, Logan, McClain, Oklahoma, Okmulgee, Osage, Pawnee, Pottawatomie, Rogers, Tulsa, Wagoner, and Washington.
