FY08 State Clean Diesel Grant Program
There are various things to consider when implementing a diesel retrofit program and the DEQ held a Clean Diesel Workshop on October 23, 2008 to provide information on the health effects of diesel exhaust, an overview of diesel emission retrofits being funded through this program, and specific details of the program and funding. Representatives from the retrofit manufacturers attended to provide specific product information and to answer questions. For more information from this workshop click here.
The Clean Diesel Grant funding announcement has been extended and applications will be accepted until all money has been awarded. The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is soliciting applications to fund projects that reduce diesel emissions from public school buses and refuse trucks in the state of Oklahoma. During the initial solicitation for applications, DEQ responded to general questions from individual applicants regarding threshold eligibility criteria, administrative issues related to the submission of the application, and requests for clarification about the announcement. All questions and answers are posted on the website www.deq.state.ok.us/AQDnew/cleandiesel/workshop.html.
All money has been awarded for this grant.
The Grant Announcement, Appendix A and Application are now posted. Interested school districts should email deragrant or contact Brian McKibben at 405. 702. 4100.
