Landfills Accepting Regulated Asbestos Waste
OAC 252:515-19-31 states that the disposal of
friable asbestos waste at a solid waste disposal facility is prohibited unless the
facility is a municipal solid waste landfill (MSWLF) or non-hazardous
industrial waste (NHIW) landfill specifically authorized by the permit to
accept such waste. Disposal practices for asbestos and materials containing
asbestos must be in compliance with appropriate regulations as set forth in OAC
252:100-41-16.
