The P2 Program assists the citizens of Oklahoma (business/industry, local government and the public) with process improvement; industrial waste, wastewater and emissions reduction; and proper waste management. This includes resource conservation and minimizing the transfer of pollutants from one media to another. The P2 Program offers an opportunity for cooperative partnerships among the business community, municipalities, agencies of the state, the environmental community and DEQ.

DEQ's Waste Exchange Program is a materials exchange program intended to promote use, reuse and recycling of surplus industrial and commercial materials, wastes, and byproducts.

Dianne Wilkins

The Office of Local Government Assistance is here to provide small and large communities with the answers about the proper disposal of wastes. We can help address concerns about current and upcoming regulations governing landfills, treatment plants, public water supply, permits, recycling and air quality.

Margaret Graham

The Office of Citizens Assistance provides an important two-way link between citizens and the DEQ. Through Citizens Assistance the DEQ can understand what the public's concerns for the environment and public health are, and the public can learn how the DEQ protects them and their communities. We have a group of people who are ready to help you learn about how DEQ protects your community.

The SBAP provides regulatory and technical assistance by telephone, in person, or through e-mail. All of our assistance is offered in a non-regulatory setting. We offer technical and regulatory assistance for permit programs and other regulations. Our staff is trained in the DEQ permitting programs and can help you determine which permits your facility requires.

We can discuss which environmental permits are required and discuss your options for waste reduction and minimization, recycling, and disposal. We can help you understand the options available for your facility to come into compliance with environmental regulations.
